The Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation (BTF) Secretariat was pleased to welcome Mr. Dave H. Kim, Governance Lead and Senior Advisor to the President and Chair in the Office of the Director-General at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), for a courtesy visit yesterday.
As Governance Lead, Mr. Kim oversees GGGI’s governance organs and bureaus. In his capacity as Senior Advisor, he provides substantive support to the President of the Assembly and Chair of the Council, currently H.E. Ban Ki-moon, the Eighth Secretary-General of the United Nations.
Mr. Kim was warmly received by the BTF team, and the visit provided an opportunity for a constructive exchange on strengthening future collaboration between BTF and GGGI. Discussions explored potential areas of partnership, including technical assistance and policy development; mobilizing and facilitating access to Green Climate Fund (GCF) resources; strengthening national capacity; supporting sustainable development priorities; and advancing innovative financing mechanisms for environmental and development initiatives.
BTF looks forward to building on this engagement and exploring concrete avenues for cooperation with GGGI.

Since its establishment as an international organization at the RIO+20 Conference in 2012, GGGI’s membership has grown from 18 founding signatories to over 50 Members and 29 Partner States at the end of 2025. GGGI draws upon the lessons learnt from this cross-regional pool of green growth experiences to pursue the transformative green growth agenda alongside its Members and Partners.
