Action on the Ground
Planning is progressing for the Phase I pilot, which aims to restore approximately 5,000 hectares of degraded subtropical landscapes in southern Bhutan, laying the foundation for large-scale ecosystem restoration.
Innovative Financing for Nature
To help bridge the conservation financing gap and secure sustainable long-term funding, partners are advancing the development of the Restore Bhutan Impact Bondโa blended finance mechanism designed to link investments with measurable climate and biodiversity outcomes.
Strengthening Global Partnerships
Following Bhutanโs admission as the 39th member of the Forest & Climate Leadersโ Partnership (FCLP), preparations are underway to submit a funding proposal to the FCLP Seed Fund to support Phase I implementation and accelerate climate and biodiversity action.
Together with the Royal Government of Bhutan, Conservation International, and the Bhutan Ecological Society, BTF remains committed to mobilizing innovative solutions that promote climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, and nature-positive livelihoods.
Stay tuned as we continue turning our vision into action for a greener and more resilient Bhutan!
