The Hon’ble Chairperson of the Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation (BTF), Dasho Kesang Wangdi, hosted Prof. Pat-Chi Li, President of Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), in Thimphu today to discuss and explore potential areas of collaboration in support of Bhutan’s sustainable development goals and aspirations.
The discussions highlighted the role of strategic partnerships in addressing the interconnected challenges of climate change, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development. Both institutions shared a common vision of advancing climate resilience, environmental sustainability, innovation, and human capacity development through knowledge exchange, research, and regional cooperation.
As Bhutan continues to demonstrate global leadership in environmental conservation and sustainable development, collaboration with leading regional institutions such as AIT offers valuable opportunities to strengthen knowledge networks, foster innovation, and build capacities to address emerging environmental and climate challenges.
