The Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation (BTF) signed Small Grant Agreements on 17 April 2026, to support a series of impactful initiatives aimed at enhancing community well-being and strengthening conservation efforts across the country.

BTF has approved Nu. 300,000 for the installation of a water filtration system at Loselling Middle Secondary School, benefiting over 1,600 students with access to clean and safe drinking water.

With Nu. 150,000 in funding, BTF is supporting the Department of Forests and Park Services in enhancing communication systems at high-altitude biodiversity monitoring and Cordyceps collection sites. This includes satellite phones and portable solar charging hubs to improve coordination among field personnel and authorities.

BTF has also committed Nu. 360,000 towards the nutritional support of a rescued elephant calf, Chunipa, ensuring its healthy growth and survival.
