Sinking Fund

The Sinking Fund is a dedicated financial mechanism established to support time-bound environmental conservation projects. It is governed by legal agreements between the Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation (BTF), Sinking Fund partners, and National Partners implementing the projects, outlining the terms, responsibilities, and management procedures. Currently, BTF implements projects under Sinking Funds supported by the Adaptation Fund, Green Climate Fund, Conservation International, and IUCN.
