Gelephu Mindfulness City
The Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation (BTF) is proud to support the development of Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC), a landmark initiative promoting sustainable urban development and environmental stewardship. BTF has earmarked Nu 78,760,000.00 for the GMC project, specifically for the adoption of Renewable Engineered Timber technologies, reflecting the Fund’s commitment to green infrastructure and climate-resilient construction.
The support period for this initiative spans from July 2025 to June 2027. Through this collaboration, BTF aims to demonstrate the viability of sustainable building practices, reduce the carbon footprint of urban development, and promote the use of renewable materials in Bhutan’s growing urban centers.
By contributing to GMC, BTF continues to advance its mission of fostering environmental sustainability, innovative solutions, and responsible development, supporting Bhutan’s long-term vision of a greener, more resilient future.
