The Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation (BTF) and AIT Extension, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) on 19 June 2026 at Thailand, marking a significant step towards strengthening collaboration in environmental conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable development.
The LoI reflects a shared commitment to fostering capacity building, knowledge exchange, technical cooperation, and professional development in areas such as climate change mitigation and adaptation, climate finance, nature-based solutions, environmental governance, and youth engagement.
The collaboration will also explore executive training programmes, study visits, online learning opportunities, and internship initiatives to strengthen institutional and human capacity in support of Bhutan’s environmental and climate priorities.
Through this partnership, BTF and AIT Extension reaffirm their commitment to advancing sustainable development and building a resilient future through collaboration, innovation, and shared learning.
