Namgay Wangchuk joined BTF as the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in June, 2023. He graduated from the College of Natural Resources (Royal University of Bhutan) with a Bachelors degree in Forestry with a major in Conservation Science. He obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Wildlife Management from the Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun, India. He has a Masters degree from Kasetsart University, Thailand, with thesis research on human-wildlife conflict management in Bhutan. Before joining BTF, he served the Department of Forests and Parks Services over the past 25 years, ranging from Field Ranger to Park Manager. He also headed Human-Wildlife Conflict Management Section under NCD. He is from Guma Block under Punakha District.
