Singye Dorji has served the Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation (BTF) for nearly three decades, playing a central role in strengthening Bhutan’s pioneering environmental trust fund since its establishment in 1991. As Chief Financial Officer, he oversees BTF’s endowment of approximately USD 84 million (mid-2025) and supports its long-term growth toward USD 200 million by 2040, ensuring perpetual financing for biodiversity conservation.

Over 28 years, Singye has led the development of robust financial systems, internal controls, and governance frameworks that meet international standards, reinforcing BTF’s reputation for transparency and efficiency. He has been instrumental in advancing innovative conservation finance, including the Program Related Investments (PRI) framework, currency risk management measures with the Royal Monetary Authority, and strengthened operational policies.

Singye also played a key role in mobilizing global climate finance, leading BTF’s accreditation with the Adaptation Fund (2018) and the Green Climate Fund (2020), enabling Bhutan to access direct financing for high-impact climate and resilience initiatives.

He holds an MBA from EADA Business School, Barcelona, and brings extensive expertise in strategic planning, portfolio management, IFRS reporting, and donor coordination. Through his leadership, Singye Dorji continues to ensure that finance serves conservation and sustainable development in Bhutan.
